Thanks jsbid for explaining a mystery. I saw large numbers of ends of cables in block 5, some cut, some burned. I'd been wondering why the cables would be burned at all. I figured the cables themselves had been salvaged for copper, but I had no idea they'd do it by burning the insulation!
